Chuck Marunde is the founder and CEO of Sakal Publishing, which has a primary focus on Christian books. “Sakal” is the pronunciation of the Hebrew word for “Success.” Chuck has degrees in Economics and Education and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in Law. He served in the USAF as a JAG (Judge Advocate General’s Office) and practiced law for 20 years. After his USAF service he served as Chuck Colson’s Area Director of Nevada and Utah for Prison Fellowship Ministries.

Chuck raised a family of four children, one of whom became the 2nd strongest man in the world in Chengdu, China at the World’s Strongman Contest, and one held two Championship MMA (mixed martial arts) belts. Another son is a commercial fisherman on the Aleutian Chain in Alaska, and Chuck’s daughter is the smartest one (a brilliant accountant and statistician) in the family and married with a child on the way.

In his spare time, Chuck founded one of the largest virtual real estate brokerages on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. He is an Internet geek who has built over 100 websites and blogs for his own businesses, and also produced many videos. Chuck is the author of over 50 books in Kindle and Apple digital versions, paperback and print versions, and he has narrated 14 books.

But Chuck’s passion is serving the Lord and growing in his personal relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ.
